Black's History

The first American Colony of Virgina imported Africans as slaves in 1619.

In the earlier years of Fredrick Douglass, while he was under the enslavement of the particularly brutal Mr.Covey where he was beaten almost everyday, Fredrick Douglass fights back; and after a two hour struggle against Covey and another man, Douglass stands victorious, and Mr. Covey never fucked with Fredrick Douglass again.

Dred Scott, Harriet Tubman, William Still, Sojourner Truth, John Brown, and yes even Nate Turner.

In 1963, Malcolm X started collaborating with Alex Haley on The Autobiography of Malcolm X. In 1964, he told Haley, "If I'm alive when this book comes out, it will be a miracle."

Dr.Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech is is regarded, along with Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address and Franklin D. Roosevelt's Infamy Speech, as one of the finest speeches in the history of American oratory.

Medgar Evers, Stokely Carmichael (Kwame Ture), H. Rap Brown, Fred Hampton, Bobby Seale, and tragically Huey P. Newton.

Growing up in the late 80's and early 90's a since of Black Pride had come and gone through Hip Hop, but gave way to commercialism, but still a few sparks remain.

Today, President Obama is considering and will most likely pass a budget cut proposal that will target the working poor (which is the new middle class)and students...I still support Barack Obama.

Our struggle continues...because it doesn't know how to stop.

Two for Valentine's Day

I've only participated in this holiday once...successfully.
